12 Days of Pet Christmas – Day #3

As we celebrate the season, it’s always appropriate to step forward to help those in need. Whether for yourself or in the name of friend or relative, consider donating to a local animal care entity.   A few of our favorites:

Denver Dumb Friends League – since 1910, the sole mission has been to help our animal friends.

Forgotten Felines Denver – for the past three years, this small and dedicated group of volunteers and cat lovers has grown their outreach to provide spay/neuter services, shelter and adoption for homeless cats and kitten. They also strive to provide public education on the critical issue of cat overpopulation and feral cat issues.

Canine Companions for Independence offers a new IPO, an Initial Puppy Offering, to help support the canine assistance animals trained and placed with their special humans.

Heifer International is another great organization creating financial independence and better health in developing countries. And, you can tell your father-in-law you bought him a llama or a water buffalo!
